This is because of the great convenience and practicality of such devices, as well as the  hygiene benefits. As a result, most homes in this progressive beach community are equipped with eco-friendly waste disposal units, as they are also called. Most garbage disposal units work on electricity, though some are powered by water pressure. Essentially a motor drives grinding and shredding devices to refine the waste so that it can be introduced into the sewage system or even a septic tank.
